Outdoor Kitchen Home Patio Extension

Here we are in beautiful South Florida. Sometimes when you get a wonderful home like this, and it's just got a great view, you can't do the outdoor pergolas, and the outdoor kitchens you'd like to do. Because of setback laws we're redoing all of the pool and the pavers and everything, but instead of building a cabana or pergola, we had to do an outdoor extension. This extension on the house is all poured concrete that we're doing, we're extending the patio so that it looks like the other side of the house and it looks balanced. As you can see this balanced view here, where they'll both look the same. What we'll be doing in the structure is building an outdoor kitchen and bar area. That will be phase 3 after we do the structure, get it approved through the permitting process. Then all the pavers will be done. Then we'll come back in and do the outdoor kitchen and bar right in this area.

Outdoor Home Extension Construction

Here we are in beautiful, hot South Florida in another outdoor project where sometimes you can't build a pergola or a cabana, and you have to do an actual outdoor home extension. This extension is all poured concrete where we're attaching in to the original house. What we're trying to do is make it look like it's always been a part of the home. Come on over. What we're doing here with this house is adding approximately 200 square feet so we can do a spectacular outdoor kitchen over here, outdoor bar. Right now we're in the process of, the shell work has been completed, our inspections have been passed, now we're doing our stucco and finish.

Insider Bamboo Construction Tips

Here we are with an inside tip regarding bamboo. We're here in beautiful Palm Beach Gardens, Florida doing a 900 square foot roof and ceiling. As you can see it's a work in progress. One key thing you always want to make sure when you're using bamboo, use half inch bamboo. Bamboo definitely needs to be treated afterwards to keep out bugs. So keep those bugs out and make sure you varnish the bamboo.

Luxury Home Patio Extension

Here we are in South Florida at another Outdoor Living project. One of the things that we sometimes have to do is extend the outside of the house instead of building a pergola or a cabana. What we're doing here, as you can see, is we've poured a concrete structure that added approximately 200 square feet. We're finishing off the whole thing in concrete and then we're going to do tongue and groove that will match the existing tongue and groove ceiling as you can see over here. One of the things you want to notice and make sure you have is enough space, when you move your structure or extend your structure out, to provide the shade that you need. In this case what we're going to do to add the the space is we're going to place and awning on the outside after we do our railing, tiling, everything else.
