Outdoor Kitchen and Pergola with Marble and Stacked Stone

Thanks for coming to visit us, we're at another spectacular outdoor area that we've built. This consists of a beautiful custom made pergola, as you can see up here, which is all made of wood, which we pre-stained before putting up. Then we have, if you'll follow me, an outrageous outdoor entertainment area, which we've built out of stacked stone. Zoom in here on this beautiful counter top which is tumbled marble, we use 2' x 2' tiles with a very small grout line so that it doesn't capture a lot of dirt. We love this area. Why do we love it? Custom Outdoor Pergola Style Tips

Here we are in South Florida again with another custom outdoor pergola. What makes a great outdoor pergola? That's a great question, one of the things you want to do is make sure it fits in with your current environment. As you can see around here it's a very mediterranean home. What we did here is we wanted to give contrast to the flooring and to the house, so we pre-stained the beams, heavy dark wood which are really going to pop against the columns. All we have to do is set the capitols and we'll be done. Check out how you get the additional shade, we finished off the top by using 3x6s that really give it that strong heavy look. Custom Outdoor Kitchen with Pergola

Here we are on a beautiful rainy South Florida day building another ultimate outdoor living area. It is a combination pergola and outdoor kitchen. There are some tips when building these outdoor kitchens. One of the things you want to do is make sure you leave enough space between your columns and your bar. The other thing is if you want to do a back splash, do it right, make sure it's large enough to make an impact. Right now we're working on the tiling work, using large tile and keeping the grout lines very very small. We're also going through some other decisions as they arise, this happens a lot on custom work. Do you do a stone wrap around the column? The electric's done, we've got the fan in. South Florida Deck Extension Construction

Here we are in beautiful South Florida, still working on a concrete extension. Sometimes you can't do the pergola or a cabana, so we had to actually extend the deck with concrete. That's what we're working on right now, you can see this is the old deck, which we're removing the fence to be re-powder coated to a prettier, more modern color. We've done this whole floor matching into the existing house, replicating what they already had. See more outdoor projects...

Big Outdoor Kitchen, Small Space

Here we are with another outdoor kitchen. How do you do a big outdoor kitchen in a small area? One way that you do it is you make your grill proportional to your space, see how we didn't use too large of a grill. The second thing you do which is fantastic, is you use big finishing materials! How do you do that? You use shimmering glass, beautiful marble, all laid out professionally, and then of course to add that special detail, always incorporate lighting of some sort. Lighting not only adds function, it adds aesthetic beauty. Thanks!
